Abstract
Generalized pustular psoriasis was firstly described by von Zumbusch in 1910, which is most severe variant of psoriasis and occurs over 40 years of age in most cases, and is especially rare in the 1 st decade of life; only 48 such cases have been reported previously in the literatures.
The etiology is still obscure but various provoking or precipitating factors were reported and among them systemic corticosteroid administration is most important.
We report a l 7/12-year-old girl with generalized pustular psoriasis who had received irre-gularly systemic steriod and then the pictures of generalized pustular psoriasis developed within a few weeks.
The patient was managed by systemic antihistaminics, antibiotics, antipyretics and topical application of steroid ointment without systemic steroid medication under the impression of steroid induced generalized pustular psoriasis and the result was successfully effective.
